Park Maintenance Technician

Clay County Government is seeking applicants for a part-time Park Maintenance Technician at the Clay County Recreation Park. The primary purpose of this position performs a variety of manual labor tasks of the County parks and grounds.

Overview

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Mowing and trimming grass; weed-eating; edging; leaf blowing and removal; tree and shrub trimming and pruning; spreading mulch; maintaining restrooms, parks shelters, and gymnasium; and minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, unclogging toilets, and painting. 

• Athletic field maintenance tasks include dragging and marking ballfields for games requiring the use of a field dragger and chalker; ensuring plates are properly mounded; and removing rocks from fields and other related duties as requested.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
