Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This position performs chair side dental duties such as passing instruments to the dentist during dental procedures, mixes impression and filling material, and operates oral evacuation equipment, retractors and water and air sprays.

This position also performs non-chair side duties such as answering telephone, type records, schedules required training.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Applicant must be a graduate from a formal dental assistant training program through a community college
-
OR graduation from high school and one year of on-the-job training as a dental assistant and certification in dental radiology and dental infection control practice.

Dental Hygienist
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform dental hygiene services to clients under the supervision of the attending dentist.

Follows accepted infection control principles as outlined by professional training, agency policies and ADA guidelines based on CDC recommendations.

Receives, checks, and stocks supplies and equipment as needed.
-
Supervises the cleaning and sterilization of instruments, keeps instruments and equipment in operable condition.
-
Preparation and arrangement of dental instrument trays/cassettes for clinic use.
-
Explains procedures and provides support to patients.
-
Fills in for dental assistant in staffing emergencies.
-
Assist dentist when clinic dental assistants are absent.
-
Work under the direction and supervision of the dentist.
-
Other related duties as assigned.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in dental hygiene

OR, graduation from an approved two-year program of dental hygiene and two years of experience in dental hygiene or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic
The purpose of this position is to provide advanced paramedic level life support and emergency medical care to patients at an accident or illness scene and during transport.
Shift hours are required and includes nights, weekends and holidays.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Administer paramedic level of life support techniques and procedures based on patient assessment
-
Ability to draw blood, administer approved medications, initiating intravenous fluids, perform pulmonary ventilation, etc.
-
Applicant must be able to physically perform life operational functions, very heavy work exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently and/or in excess of 30 pounds of force constantly.
Other related duties as assigned.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Applicants must have a certification from the State as a Paramedic Level Emergency Medical Technician and a valid driver's license.
