Clay County Government is seeking applicants for a full time Parks and Recreation Director at the Clay County Recreation Center and campground. The primary purpose of this position is the responsibility for management and direction of the County's recreation programs and facilities involving supervisory, and promotional duties. Work includes planning for recreation program expansion, and enhancements; development and maintenance of the department budget and expenses; planning work operations; supervising athletic and recreational activities; developing new and modifying existing policies and procedures. Work requires extensive public contact with private groups, civic organizations; local and school officials, and the general public in the promotion, development, and direction of the recreation program.

Bachelor's degree in recreation administration, physical education, or a related field and considerable experience of a progressively responsible nature in the management of a recreation program including supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
